DiOrio has compiled a libretto out of words from sermons, stories, and sayings by the Right Reverend V. Gene Robinson, as well as quotations from the 27th Psalm. The resulting work was commissioned by churches around the world in celebration of Bishop Gene and exists in five versions to be as broadly accessible as possible.

Jenni Brandon‘s music has been described as “some of the most imaginative, ingratiating recent chamber music for winds,” and her style is often influenced by nature and her surroundings. As a resident composer she has worked with the Vientos Trio in Los Angeles and is in demand as a guest composer. As a conductor she currently leads The Concert Singers, the oldest independent choir in Los Angeles. Jenni is also active as a mezzo-soprano, making choral appearances with the Boston Pops, Pacific Chorale, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and at the Hollywood Bowl. Her award-winning music has been featured at festivals, conferences, and on radio broadcasts.

Dominick DiOrio is an imaginative, enthusiastic, and energetic conductor and composer who has won widespread acclaim for his contributions to American music. He is professor of music and chair of the department in choral conducting at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he joined the faculty in 2012, and where he serves as director of NOTUS, Indiana University’s storied contemporary vocal ensemble. DiOrio also serves as the fourteenth artistic director and conductor of the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia, one of the most historic choral organizations in the United States. He earned the Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting from the Yale School of Music, and proudly credits his mentors Janet Galván, Simon Carrington, and Marguerite Brooks for serving as model leaders and for making him the person he is today.
