Lake Wales, FL — Virginia Davidson’s love of music began in an old farmhouse off Dundee Road and took her to stages all over the world before leading her back home two years ago.
At 82, the venerable musician has no plans to retire as she prepares to take the baton for the Lake Wales Chorale.
Davidson sees her new position as a continuation of her lifetime passion for sharing music.Choristers, who have been without a director since Robert Wilson stepped down in December, view her arrival as a chance to revive the glory days experienced under former director Gabe Statom, when membership was at its peak and performances included a European tour.
