Kickstarter for choral arrangements of Pete Seeger almost fully funded!

Legendary choral conductor and arranger Robert De Cormier – now 93 years old and going strong – met Pete Seeger in 1946. The two were close colleagues and friends for decades. Both shared a dedication to making music that brings people together. When Pete died last year, Counterpoint, the professional ensemble that Robert founded in 2000, performed several new choral arrangement of Pete’s songs at a memorial concert in Burlington, Vermont. This was an amazing experience and led to a plan to record a full album of Robert’s choral arrangements of Pete’s songs, to make them available to new generations of singers and listeners.

 

Robert and Counterpoint have launched a Kickstarter to fund this recording. We are doing amazingly well, and are 75% funded with a week to do.
