Inversion Ensemble presents Aether: Water Virtual Watch Party & Happy Hour

Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 6:30 PM – 8 PM

Online Event

Inversion cordially invites YOU to the digital conclusion of its 2019-2020 artistic season, Aether. We hope you will join us for a watch party on Saturday, August 29, with a preceding happy hour!

HAPPY HOUR: Tune in at 6:30 p.m. for a casual gathering, and hear from composers, singers, and special guests (Join us on Zoom at this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87384190327?pwd=bUFnZTR2REk3TWlNRHpJdVUrT3Y3dz09).

CONCERT: At 7:00 p.m., transfer over to Facebook (link to be placed HERE closer to the event) for the premiere of Aether: Water, featuring works by Inversion’s founders, Trevor Shaw, Robbie LaBanca, and Adrienne Inglis, and by composers Stephanie Andrews, Phillip Bernard, Andrew Dyet, Marjorie Halloran, Hillary Purington, and Kelsey Hohnstein. Watch here: https://www.facebook.com/events/332267068145331/

This digital project involved immense amounts of work from many incredible musicians; we are so thankful to all of the composers and singers who took time to submit pieces and record their tracks. A huge shout out, as well, to Artistic Director, Trevor Shaw, for the vast amounts of time spent producing these tracks! Please join us in celebrating the hard work and artistry of Austin’s choral professionals, as we premiere Aether: Water, the final concert of the Aether series.

Austin’s Inversion Ensemble is a choral collective made up of composers and singers formed to give voice to innovative choral works and to encourage the creation of new music. A great deal of our repertoire is written especially for Inversion Ensemble by composers who sing within the ranks of the ensemble. While many members of Inversion Ensemble perform, conduct, compose, study, and teach music full-time, the group also includes non-professional participants who are passionate about choral music and help to ensure it thrives as a modern art form.

Accessibility: Please request a large print program at least seven days before the event.
