The annual International Cantus Music and Culture Festival takes place in Salzburg, Austria’s quaint Old Town. Salzburg is known for its legacy of classical music, including famed composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who lived there 250 years ago and also as the inspirational settings for the beloved Sound of Music.
This delightful festival attracts choirs and orchestras from across Europe and around the world to mingle over Austrian brettljause (traditional shared farm to table foods) and to share music and culture in world-class venues including the Mozarteum and Salzburg Cathedral, affectionately known as “The Dom”.
Throughout the weekend, ensembles perform individual repertoire in glorious settings like Mirabell Gardens and join voices on the “Song of Peace” at a memorable evening performance that adds to the heritage of this great city of music. Below is a link to the festival brochure containing the itinerary, inclusions, prices, and registration details. Please ask us for a flight quote from your home city. A Complimentary Orientation Trip for choir directors is scheduled for July 18-22, 2019 (departs North America on July 17) in Salzburg to preview venues and festival highlights. We’d be delighted to have you join us! Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about the International Cantus Music and Culture Festival. I look forward to speaking with you soon. Kind Regards, Paige Betten
