My name is Christina Rusnak, and I’m the president of the International Alliance for Women in Music (IAWM). We are looking for 1-3 Choral partners to host and present new and existing Choral/Vocal works by women in Fall 2026. Our last Choral concert was at the University of Louisiana in October 2016. So it’s certainly past due!
The annual concert is the result of a competitive process which recognizes the accomplishments of IAWM member composers and performers to increase the awareness of the musical contributions of women globally. Our hosts are often collegiate institutions who are looking for new and under-represented music to perform.
In 2023, the Royal Conservatoire in Antwerp Belgium hosted a chamber music concert; 2024, we partnered with the University of Minnesota Duluth for an Electronic Music concert, in 2025, IAWM has partnered with members of the Virago Symphonic Orchestra for a concert hosted by Museum Schnütgen a Romanesque church in Cologne.
