HymnWrite Hymn Creation Software

October 2, 2023 by Gary Rader 2 Comments

MusicEase Software is pleased to introduce HymnWrite, a revolutionary new software program for the Mac and Windows for quickly creating new publication quality hymns. You provide the text and choose the tune. The program then combines the text and tune music into a 4-part SATB hymn. Optionally you can transpose, play, enlarge, etc., the music before printing or quickly change the tune to see a new version of your hymn. All music is public domain; no CCLI license is required.

The web site is currently under construction but a 7 minute video displaying how HymnWrite works can be seen in the Youtube video at https://youtu.be/olQANIza8Gg.

HymnWrite is now for a limited time available at the special introductory price of just $69.95 and can be purchased at the MusicEase Software store.

Since a number of new hymns re-use music from years ago, we thought this would be a useful tool for hymn writers who did not require newly composed tunes/arrangements for their compositions. It also allows a composer to easily try out combining their text with generally a number of different tunes.

This looks like a fantastic tool for hymn writers! The focus on both text and tune creation, along with the built-in theological and poetic guidance, makes it really stand out. Excited to explore how it supports both creativity and liturgical tradition
