Great Sacred Music for Sunday, August 21, 2011

The Choir of St. John’s Church, Elora, Ontario, King’s College Choir, Cambridge and the Chamber Choir of Europe will be featured in the first hour of Great Sacred Music this Sunday beginning at 8 a.m. eastern. They will sing music by Sir Edward Bairstow, Francisco Guerrero, Thomas Tallis and Felix Mendelssohn.

At 9 a.m. you can enjoy Cantata 168 by Johann Sebastian Bach followed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Te Deum and Palestrina’s Missa Assumpta est Maria in caelum. Herbert Howells’ Hymnus Paradisi airs at 10 a.m.

Great Sacred Music with Rob Kennedy. 3 hours of the finest sacred choral and organ music. Every Sunday at 8 a.m. eastern. Right after Sing for Joy.  Streaming online at http://wcpe.org
