Grammy Foundation awarded to CO High School

FT COLLINS, CO — Students in Rocky Mountain High School’s Prima
Voce choir have a lot to sing about these days.

The school’s music department was recently recognized by the
Grammy Foundation with a 2011 Signature Schools Enterprise
Award.

“(The award) is really an honor,” said Heidi Roeber, a junior
and second soprano in Prima Voce. “We feel we work really hard, so
it’s nice to be recognized.”

The award singles schools out as having impressive music
departments but also rewards those schools with $5,500 to help fund
the department’s many needs.

“That money will update a lot of outdated equipment,” said Anna
Auerbach, a sophomore and second soprano.
