Dear Colleagues,
As you probably know, BrownPaperTickets.com, the online ticketing service, ran into some serious trouble during the pandemic, being very late to provide collected income to presenters and refunds to ticket buyers for cancelled events. My Chicago orchestra has been their client for many years and just received payment for tickets sold for a concert in March 2020.
I am writing to find out if any of you have had recent positive experiences with the company, that is, successfully and without difficultly sold tickets through their site and received the generated ticket income.
We need to make a decision if we will continue with the service, which up until the pandemic was exemplary.
If you wish, you can email me privately at
All thanks,

David,
As Executive Director / Founder of the California Redwood Chorale, I have always used BrownPaperTickets. This past Thanksgiving, CRC was ready to sell advance tickets for our first concert in 2 years! After reading about BPT difficulties, I made the decision to support them by again using them to sell advance tickets. How can they recover if no one used their service?! Our experience this past November was perfect, as it has always been and they paid promptly after the event. I am using them again for our big April performances.
