Gareth Malone gets Britain’s workplaces singing

LONDON, UK — Gareth Malone is returning to television with a new series encouraging the nation to set up workplace choirs.  Sing While You Work is Malone’s first project since The Choir: Military Wives and begins on BBC Two this autumn.

He has assembled groups of amateur singers in various workplaces, including a Royal Mail depot in Bristol and University Hospital Lewisham in south-east London.  Malone said forming a choir with colleagues can transform a working environment.
