Exciting Opportunity for High School Singers

March 13, 2018 by colechanticleer Leave a Comment

Chanticleer and its Music Director, William Fred Scott, are pleased to announce our seventeenth L.A.B. session!

Named after Chanticleer’s Founder, the Louis A. Botto (L.A.B.) Choir is a mixed-voice, honors youth chorus for singers, aged 14 through 20. Since its inception, the L.A.B. Choir has developed a reputation for excellent pedagogy and the opportunity for talented young singers to collaborate and perform at the highest levels with others who share their passion for choral music.

Directed by Fred Scott and assisted by Cole Thomason-Redus, rehearsals will take place weekends in San Francisco, April 14-June 3, 2018. This session’s program will include favorites from Chanticleer’s vast repertoire in addition to Russian music and Appalachian folk songs. Post session performances will be scheduled according to singer availability.

Thanks to the generosity of Chanticleer donors, L.A.B. tuition is only $100! Auditions will be organized for singers new to Chanticleer’s programs. Any singers who have participated in L.A.B. or Skills/L.A.B. are not required to audition.

To apply, please contact L.A.B. Choir Assistant Director, Cole Thomason-Redus:
