The magnificent Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, conducted by Tõnu Kaljuste and fresh off the heels of their appearance at the ACDA National Conference, created quite the buzz last night with an electric performance at National City Christian Church in Washington, D.C. The ensemble celebrated anniversaries of major choral conductors, Jean Sibelius (150), Veljo Tormis (85), and Arvo Pärt (80). Audience members were stunned by the choir’s enchanting sound and exciting repertoire. The concert was presented by Serenade! International Choral Series.
