Essential Voices USA Auditions (Volunteers): Sing a Sondheim Tribute and Holiday Concert @ Carnegie Hall

July 22, 2022 by Judith Clurman Leave a Comment

Judith Clurman’s Essential Voices USA (EVUSA) is comprised of a talented roster of seasoned professionals and auditioned volunteers, dynamically fitted to the unique needs of each project. The ensemble is looking for experienced volunteer singers for the two Carnegie Hall fall 2022 concerts with the New York Pops. Steven Reineke will conduct the concerts: I’M STILL HERE: CELEBRATING SONDHEIM (Friday,Nov. 18) and ROCKIN’ AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE (Friday, Dec. 16)

The requirements for participation in the EVUSA Carnegie Hall concerts: you need to be 18 years old; you want to be part of a “community;” you love to sing; you follow the EVUSA and Carnegie Hall COVID guidelines for rehearsals and performances; you agree to commit to attending all rehearsals; you agree to study and memorize your music; and you pay dues to cover rehearsal space/accompanist costs.

Auditions are easy! Here is what you need to do:
RECORD a video and send it to essential
SING a song that you love to sing
SING a major scale (ascending and descending)
SPEAK (tell us why you want to join this chorus)

Rehearsals begin in late September. For further information, email .
