2026-2027 Season
Essential Voices USA, conducted by Judith Clurman, announces auditions for volunteer singers for its 2026–2027 season.
The ensemble will perform in the New York Pops holiday concerts at Carnegie Hall and present a community holiday concert at St. Malachy’s Church in New York City. Additional performance opportunities are planned for the spring.

Essential Voices USA (EVUSA) is one of New York’s most respected professional choral ensembles, celebrated for its expressive artistry, adventurous programming, and advocacy of American composers. Conducted by Music Director Judith Clurman, the ensemble brings together seasoned professionals and distinguished auditioned volunteer singers, EVUSA is uniquely designed to meet the artistic vision of each project, from intimate chamber works to major orchestral performances. EVUSA has enjoyed a month-long residency at National Public Radio, performed for many seasons with The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, and appeared on NBC’s Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular and Christmas in Rockefeller Center. The ensemble has performed at Lincoln Center and on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts, presenting its commissioned choral cycle Washington Women. Its initiatives include The Composer Speaks at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, Project Youth Chorus residencies in New York City public schools, and anti-bullying programs featuring Stephen Schwartz’s Testimony.EVUSA has premiered dozens of new works and collaborated with leading American composers, lyricists, and artists from opera and Broadway. Its award-winning catalog includes America at Heart, Appalachian Stories, Devotion, Listen to the World, winner of a 2025 Global Music Award, Washington Women, Words Matter, and numerous holiday recordings. During the 2026–2027 season, EVUSA returns to Carnegie Hall, continues its NYC community engagement, and expands its recording legacy with classical works by Trude Rittmann. www.essentialvoicesusa.com
