Eduardo Andrés Malachevsky, PROJECT : ENCORE™ Composer, Honored

Eduardo Andrés Malachevsky honored at 2012 World Music Days Festival
 
De Profundis Magnificat is one of the pieces included on the present (August-November 2012) European tour of the award winning choir Philippine Madrigal Singers. It was sung last August at the Guidoneum Festival during the 60 Concorso Polifonico Guido d’Arezzo (Arezzo, Italy). This choir, honored by the UNESCO as Artists for Peace, also sang the piece on a recent concert tour in Singapore.
 
do not pass by like a dream will be sung next November at deSingel, Antwerp (Belgium) by the chamber Belgium choir AQUARIUS, directed by Marc Michael De Smet. This concert closes one of the 2012 World Music Days Festivals organized by the ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music).
This score is one of the compositions specially selected by the ISCM to be performed during the world exhibition of new music that will take place from October 25th to November 4th 2012 in Belgium’s major performing arts centers. During the festival’s 11 days, a symphonic orchestra, 22 ensembles and soloists will play 33 concerts in 6 different cities, and will feature the works of more than 150 composers from 46 countries. Says Malachevsky, “I have the honor of having been invited as an Argentinean composer to represent my country.”
