Polyhymnia Chamber Chorus is a Washington D.C.-area 24-voice a cappella choir specializing in exceptional music that is not sung often enough. Polyhymnia’s concerts showcase challenging compositions crossing multiple genres, languages and periods.

Polyhymnia’s Winter 2019 Concerts will take place on Saturday, January 19 (Bethesda, MD), Saturday, January 26 (McLean, VA), and Sunday, January 27 (Washington, DC) and will feature:
• The East Coast Premiere of Of the Ages – three pieces by local composer Dr. Joshua Fishbein;
• Another recent work by Mr. Fishbein, A Prep-School Boy, with text by Benjamin Britten.
• English Partsongs by Sir Edward Elgar;
• Cinq Chansons Francaises by 20th Century composer Georges Auric (Les Six);
• Chromatic Renaissance Works by Cipriano de Rore and Orlando di Lasso;

The performances are “Pay-What-You-Can.” A light reception follows each.
