“DO YOU BELIEVE IN ANGELS?” for treble chorus, David Avshalomov, New demo recording

February 26, 2026 by David Avshalomov Leave a Comment

Please do yourself a treat and come hear the new demo recording, with voices of Cantamus, of David Avshalomov’s “Do You Believe in Angels?”. www.davidavshalomov.com/musical-works/Chorus. Scored for mature children’s or treble chorus and high strings. 9 minutes.

An ecstatic, transcendently beautiful, melodious and harmonically rich setting, this lyrical work, first bright, then dark, finally luminous, explores our various common images of both light and dark angels and angelic encounters without reference to the angel names, traditions, or stories of any specific religion. The original poem by the composer leaves open the question of belief, but explores the awe.
Colorful, evocative string scoring. P/V score gives organ reduction.

Published by the composer in affordable .pdfs.
