Do You Believe in Angels

July 14, 2011 by David Avshalomov Leave a Comment

An ecstatic, transcendently beautiful, melodious and harmonically rich setting for older children’s or treble chorus and high strings. Original non-sectarian, non-religious poem by the composer on the phenomenon of angelic encounters and the common images of both light and dark angels. Bright start, dark energetic middle, luminous ending. Evocative, atmospheric writing for the strings.

SSAA, brief S1 solo at end
9 minutes
Accompaniment: High strings (6 violins, 2 violas, all obbligato).
Short score gives organ reduction.

Available in .pdf format with inexpensive photocopy license. Educational discount.
Published under the composer’s Raven Music editions.
