DCINY Welcomes Mark Riddles and Anthony Romeo

September 28, 2015 by Iris Derke Leave a Comment

Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) is pleased to announce two exciting additions to the DCINY family in the program development department.

Mark Riddles is an outstanding conductor, performer, recording artist and educator. He has developed many sacred music programs for regional adult choirs, youth ensembles, graded choir programs, handbells, orff and professional instrumental ensembles. Mark shared his expertise and passion previously at the Celebration of Hope, chapters of the American Guild of Organists and Choral Conductor’s Guild, Christian Theological Seminary, and the American Choral Directors Association, etc.

Riddles studied choral conducting with Joseph Flummerfelt and Robert Harris, and orchestral conducting with Fred Ockwell and Frederick Fennell, etc. He enjoys a wide range of music genres and styles, and teaches fine arts, liturgy, music of the congregation, scriptural understandings of music, as well as Music and Worship.

Raised in a small farm town in Upstate New York, Anthony Romeo is an accomplished writer, hockey goalie, and dad-to-be. He has been involved in classical music from a young age, and has performed in choral ensembles, classical symphony orchestras, and theatre from elementary school through college and beyond. He also performed in choral concerts at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the National Cathedral, and other prominent venues.

Anthony wants to give back to the music community through his work at DCINY – creating life-changing musical experiences for performers of all ages, and giving performers from tiny towns an opportunity to perform in world-renowned venues.
