David Holdhusen, director of the Chamber Choir at the University of South Dakota, is releasing a new CD on Con Brio Recordings. A compilation of live performances over four years, the CD is a dazzling potpourri of songs that captive that imagination. On hearing the very first song, Brad Holmes’ arrangement of “Amen”, I was hooked, and stayed for the entire album. This CD is a journey through the tuneful, exuberant “Keltic Song” by Allan Rae, the tranquil “I Thank You God For Most This Amazing Day” by Cristine Temple-Evans, the mellow, dark, and enthralling “Water Music” by Eric Whitacre, to name just a few. Con Brio Recordings is thrilled to have this diverse exploration of choir music on our label.
