Copeland joins Choral Journal editors

June 17, 2011 by Allen H Simon Leave a Comment

Dr. Philip L. Copeland has been named to the Editorial Board of the Choral Journal, the official publication of the American Choral Directors Association.  Founded in 1959, ACDA is the largest association of choral directors in the world, whose membership consists of choral directors who represent more than one million singers across the United States. Its central purpose is to promote excellence in choral music through performance, composition, publication, research, and teaching.

Dr. Copeland will be editor of the “Technology Column” and will adjudicate manuscripts that are submitted to the Choral Journal for possible publication.  In order to assume the position on the editorial board, Dr. Copeland stepped down from his leadership position as chairman of the Technology Committee for ACDA, one of six standing committees for the national organization.
