Congressman sings tenor

January 28, 2011 by Richard Allen Roe Leave a Comment

GLENS FALLS, NY — Politicians took part in an impromptu mass
choir at the Glens Falls Martin Luther King Jr. Day service in
Glens Falls on Sunday evening, singing “Let Their Be Peace on
Earth” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

By coincidence, I was standing next to U.S. Rep. Chris Gibson,
R-Kinderhook, in the tenor section, and can report that he did not
miss a note.

State Sen. Elizabeth Little, R-Queensbury, sang alto.

Glens Falls Mayor John “Jack” Diamond and former Mayor Robert
Regan also were in the choir.
