Clackamas choir director earns honor

November 24, 2010 by Richard Allen Roe Leave a Comment

CLACKAMAS, OR — Scott Davis, the choir director at Clackamas
High School, was honored as K103 radio’s Educator of the Week after
being nominated by former student Sarah Hazen.

He was featured in a live radio interview, and received an
engraved crystal apple, a two-night stay at the Westin Portland, a
gift card for the Daily Grill, and a $103 contribution to the
school choir program from the Dairy Farmers of Oregon.

“Along with teaching his students about music theory, how to
embrace their voices and sing with confidence, Scott teaches about
life,” said Hazen. “He takes time to get to know every student and
is always encouraging them to be the best they can be. He continues
to invest in his students’ lives after they graduate.”
