NGU is calling for original, sacred choral (SATB – some divisi) scores to compete in this contest. A cappella or piano accompaniment., duration 3-5 minutes. Deadline for submission is July 15, 2010, by postmark. Submission fee is $25. for the first and $10. for the second. Submitted works may have been premiered but never published. Six finalists will be selected and each will be sung by a selected high school choir at a concert on Saturday, October 30th, 2010, at NGU in the beautiful upstate of SC. First and second place winners will be announced at the concert. Composers chosen as finalists will be asked to attend this event on October 30th to meet "their" choir and work with them for the presentation. Prize money: First place $400, second place $300. Travel expenses up to $250. will be paid. Pay by check made to North Greenville University. Submit scores without names, but include your name and contact info in a separate sealed envelope.
