Cantilena Chamber Choir 20th Anniversary of Amazing Repertoire May 19th

Lenox, MA-  The Cantilena Chamber Choir will present a gala concert on Sunday, May 19th at Trinity Church, 88 Walker Street, to celebration its singers, alumni, audience members and patrons as a gesture of appreciation for the people in the Berkshires who’ve been coming to its concerts for 20 years. To celebrate this significant milestone, the singers themselves have chosen their favorite repertoire from over 100 programs they have sung. The program:
William Byrd  Sing Joyfully
Dmitri Bortniansky Concerto 32
Johannes Brahms O Heiland Reiss
Ildebrando Pizzetti  Ululate 
George Gershwin  Highlights from Porgy & Bess
Charles Ives Psalm 90 
David del Tredici  Acrostic Song from Final Alice (Pulitzer prize winner) 
Morten Lauridsen Three Madrigali from Fire Songs on Italian Renaissance Poems
Zachary Wadsworth- composer from Williams College, Beyond the Years for chorus and organ.
The Cantilena Chamber Choir, now in its 20th anniversary season under the direction of Andrea Goodman, is comprised of 24 dedicated singers of the highest caliber, who possess vocal training, excellent sight-reading skills and considerable choral experience.
