Cantabile invites skilled and expressive singers to audition for our upcoming season. If you thrive in an artistic, collaborative setting and want to bring rich choral music to life— this is your group!
Cantabile’s purposeful programming includes challenging, contemporary music, commissions of new works, and performances of ambitious, traditional repertoire alongside music from various world cultures. Our programming focuses on a wide variety of choral music from all time periods and presents styles that educate and enlighten both our audiences and our singing membership.
We are a chamber chorus of 25-30 singers with varied backgrounds ranging from recent graduates to retirees. Cantabile is known for emotionally resonant performances, adventurous programming, and cultural celebrations. Whether performing the premiere of StarSongs by Bruce Lazarus, or the delicate phrases of 16th century polyphony De los álamos vengo, madre by Juan Vásquez, we believe in connecting music to memory, place, and feeling.
Audition dates for 2025 are on Wednesday August 6th and August 13th.
