Cambridge Choral Academy 2024: give the gift of singing in glorious Cambridge chapels

November 16, 2023 by JulietAllan Leave a Comment

We’re delighted to announce our courses for 2024 – why not join us? Would singing in Cambridge college chapels be the perfect holiday gift for your choir members and their loved ones?

“It was like a dream being there, forgetting the cares of daily life and concentrating with like-minded people on choir singing!”

Singing Retreat based in King’s College
5-7 April 2024

This will be our second course staying in the glorious setting of King’s College, and we plan to sing services in three College chapels, including candle-lit Compline in St Catharine’s and Evensong in The Wren Chapel at Pembroke College, consecrated in 1665. We’ll enjoy a formal dinner in Pembroke’s Old Library, plus educational talks and daily vocal health sessions to develop and sustain your voice.

“This was the best singing week I’ve been to – and I’ve done a few in my time!”

CCA Summer School at St Catharine’s College
4-10 August 2024

Join us for a six-day course immersed in glorious music and the delights of Cambridge colleges in the summer. We’ll sing in exquisite chapels under world-class directors, with candle-lit services, a formal dinner, a chauffeured punt down the River Cam, a choral wine-tasting – good music, good friends, good times.

“Ideas and techniques that have made me a better singer.”

Epiphany Choral Course at Sidney Sussex College
3-5 January 2025

By popular demand, a cosy, candle-lit weekend Singing Retreat for Epiphany, including a Twelfth Night Dinner and a feast of kingly repertoire.

“The dignity and celestial beauty of the English/Anglican liturgy”

Places are limited as we aim for a balanced chamber choir, so do snap up yours – join our mailing list at www.cambridgechoral.com. We hope to see you in Cambridge in 2024!
