Dear Choir Directors,
Congratulations on successfully completing another semester filled with beautiful choral performances and uplifting musical experiences. As we wrap up this chapter, I invite you to take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments achieved together with your talented singers. Your dedication and passion have undoubtedly left a lasting impact on your audience and communities.
While it is important to celebrate our achievements, it is equally crucial to look ahead and plan for the future. I present to you an exceptional opportunity to participate in a groundbreaking choral project that will not only elevate your choir but also contribute to the creation of something truly remarkable.
Introducing the Mass – Eternal Unity, a visionary endeavor to compose a Mass that encapsulates our collective values and aspirations. This project will unfold gradually, with each year bringing a new movement to life. I am thrilled to announce that this year, we will embark on this extraordinary journey by starting with the Kyrie.
Only seven choirs will have the privilege of being part of this inaugural movement. By participating, you will have the chance to premiere the Kyrie as an individual piece during your next semester. Imagine the honor and pride of introducing a composition born from the collaboration of talented directors like yourself.
The Mass – Eternal Unity will not only unite us in musical harmony but also establish deep connections between choirs across the globe. Over the course of this decade, a total of 50 choirs will join forces to complete this monumental work. Your participation will be instrumental in building a legacy that future generations of singers and directors will admire.
As a testament to your contribution, your name and your choir’s name will be forever engraved in the scores. Although each movement can be premiered separately, the grandeur of the project lies in its gradual unveiling over several years. This unique experience will undoubtedly leave a profound impact on your singers, your audience, and your career.
So, how does the consortium work? The consortium will consist of only seven choirs, and I will compose an additional movement each year until we achieve the full Mass – Eternal Unity. The time frame for this project aligns perfectly with your planning. You can expect to receive the scores for the Kyrie in August, allowing you to begin rehearsing in September after the summer break.
The consortium is open for registration starting today. Once the seven choirs are registered, the consortium for this year will be considered complete. However, we will keep a list of all those who sign up, ensuring they have the opportunity to be part of the second movement next year.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to be part of something greater than ourselves. Don’t miss out on the chance to join The New Consortium: Mass – Eternal Unity. Pre-register now by clicking the button below and filling out the form. I will contact you with more information on how to become a member of this prestigious consortium.
By participating in the consortium, you will receive exclusive rights of interpretation for a season. Additionally, your name and your choir’s name will be included in the dedication of all published copies of the Mass. Furthermore, you will have access to a dedicated chat group, allowing you to witness the evolution of the work and engage with fellow directors.
I understand that each choir has its unique needs and preferences. That’s why the material provided will be customizable. You can request changes or adaptations in the scores to ensure a seamless integration with the musical instruments that you have at your disposal.
The delivery of the material will include the master recording with orchestra and choir, scores for each instrument, and a specially designed version for singers, consisting of choir scores with a piano reduction.
To provide you with a better understanding of the technical details, Kyrie has a duration of approximately four minutes. The instrumentation is SATB+ instruments, which can be adapted to suit your ensemble’s capabilities. The difficulty level is medium, ensuring that choirs of various skill levels can participate and excel.
The writing process for the Kyrie will commence in June, and I anticipate completing it by July. Subsequently, the editing phase will take place in August, allowing for the sheet music delivery in September, just in time for your rehearsals.
The suggested price per choir for participating in this consortium is US$ 1000. However, the registration form allows you to specify how much you can afford. This means that if you cannot afford the full fee, a patron will be assigned to help you .In this way we will ensure that everyone can be part of this transformative experience.
Should you have any questions, opinions, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us at Thank you for your interest in the Eternal Unity Consortium. I invite you to seize this extraordinary opportunity to be part of a musical journey that transcends boundaries and fosters unity. Together, let us create a Mass that will resonate with the world and inspire generations to come.
