CALL TO SINGERS! Verdi Requiem and Homing, J.A.C Redford in South Carolina

Open to experienced choristers, proficient in reading music, who have performed major choral-orchestral works and are available for the rehearsals and all festival performances.

Varna International is inviting choristers to join the “Muzika!” Festival Chorus for performances of Verdi Requiem and Homing, by J.A.C. Redford, in South Carolina and Georgia. Redford is a renowned American composer who has worked in Hollywood for decades, collaborating on Oscar winning film scores, including Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water, Skyfall, and Disney’s Finding Dory.

The Verdi Requiem performances will feature Metropolitan Opera soloists and The Varna International Chorus and Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Gregory Buchalter from The Metropolitan Opera.

Festival chorus rehearsals in Columbia, June 14 – 22

Performances:
June 23 at 7:30 pm: JAC Redford program at the Koger Center for the Arts, Columbia SC
June 24 at 7:30pm: Verdi Requiem at the Koger Center for the Arts, Columbia SC
June 25 at 4:00 pm: JAC Redford program at the Miller theater, Augusta, GA
June 26 at 7:30 pm: Verdi Requiem at First Presbyterian Church, Greenville SC
June 27 at 7:00pm: Verdi Requiem at Saint Michael Catholic Church, Murrells Inlet SC
