Small Women’s Vocal Ensemble | $200 per singer
Sunday, October 4 | National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi, San Francisco

Seeking experienced soprano and alto singers for a small women’s vocal ensemble singing the 11:00 AM Mass at the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi in San Francisco.

Compensation
$200 per singer, including the principal rehearsal and Sunday Mass.
If an additional one-hour rehearsal is needed, an additional $50 will be paid.

Sunday, October 4
Call: 10:00 AM
Mass: 11:00 AM

National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi
610 Vallejo Street
San Francisco, CA

Rehearsal
One principal rehearsal, most likely Saturday, October 3, or on an evening between October 1–3.

An additional one-hour rehearsal will be scheduled only if necessary (+$50).

Repertoire

  • Gregorian chant: Missa XI (Orbis Factor)
  • Processional and recessional hymns
  • 1–2 short polyphonic works, TBD

Strong sight-reading and ensemble skills are important. Experience with Gregorian chant, including plainchant/neumatic notation, sacred polyphony, or Catholic liturgical singing is especially welcome.

Anyone interested is very welcome to contact me directly with their voice type and a brief description of their sight-reading, choral, and/or liturgical singing experience.
