The Choral Scholar and American Choral Review, the journal of the National Collegiate Choral Organization (NCCO), is seeking volunteer authors who will contribute score reviews for upcoming editions. The journal aims to publish reviews of choral works suitable for collegiate ensembles or those of a similar level. Reviews aspire to a presentation style that is informative, affirming, and accessible to as wide an audience as possible, with the goal of providing an introduction to lesser-known works and composers. Reviews are published online through the Choral Scholar and American Choral Review website (part of the NCCO site) and are generally 500-700 words.
Reviewers do not need to be members of NCCO to contribute to the journal and are welcome to suggest works for review, though that is not necessary and the editorial staff is happy to assign pieces as well.
