On April 20th, 2012 we took 23 men, 6 of them solid Low ‘C’ basses, and gave a performance of Russian music. Of those basses, the majority had a rock solid Low Bb, and 3 of them were full-fledged Oktavists (Don Neptun, Greg Golliet, and Glenn Miller). Glenn and Greg can both be described as “Basso Profundos” true root-meaning of the words – Profound Bass, or from latin, a “Bass from out of the depths.” What followed was an amazing evening of music. Here’s a clip!

This CD features the first recorded performance by an American of the original ending of Chesnokov’s Ne Otverzhi Mene (Do Not Forsake Me When I Am Old), by guest soloist Glenn Miller, and many songs that have never been heard in the United States before.
