This new one-year Masters course in solo-voice ensemble singing at the University of York begins its second year in October 2014. It is run by Robert Hollingworth, director of I Fagiolini and as well as the course itself, there are ample opportunities for excellent choral singing in the city of York, many based around early music with the National Centre for Early Music (and its festivals) also being situated here. I Fagiolini is an Associate Ensemble at the university and coaches on the course once each term.
The ensemble due to begin in October has just lost its bass. There might also be room for another suitable soprano or tenor.
Successful candidates can also audition to deputize in the choir of York Minster.
