Atlanta Sacred Chorale releases new CD: “Awake the Dawn”

October 11, 2011 by Phil Spencer Whitehead Leave a Comment

Atlanta Sacred Chorale is thrilled to announce the release of a brand new album, entitled “Awake the Dawn.”

The early morning hours have inspired many composers, and this newest album from ASC gathers together a trove of choral treasures celebrating the joy of new beginnings and hope for brighter tomorrows. Guest cellist Guang Wang dazzles in David Brunner’s exquisite “Cloth of Glory,” amidst other brilliant new works by Paul Carey, Eleanor Daley, and John Tebay; moving anthems by Lauridsen and Rutter; fiery spirituals; and classics by Bernstein, Dawson, Stanford, and Wesley.  Recorded in May 2011 in the scintillating acoustics of Spivey Hall.

MP3s will be available within a few weeks on CD Baby, iTunes, and Amazon.
