As a composer deeply passionate about choral music, I’ve always found the SSAA formation to be a fascinating canvas for musical exploration. It’s a formation ripe with potential, don’t you think?
This formation undoubtedly resonates deeply with me. If you look at my history, the piece with the most views is “O Magnum Mysterium,” a SSAA piece. My contributions to ACDA were focused on providing SSAA repertoire with “HUMAN,” among others. Moreover, my longest piece written to date is “Lake of Stars,” which, yes, you’ve guessed it, is for SSAA. And at this point, I see that “Galaxias” is my best-selling piece. And my OCD leads me to wonder, why isn’t my best-selling work in SSAA.
I know this piece deserves a place in our beloved SSAA format. It’s something we must share with the world. It’s a piece that has been performed hundreds of times, and I always receive great feedback about it.
