Hi! Here is my latest choral work entitled ‘Amour, Où Es-Tu ?’ (Love, where are you?),  for Treble choir in unison, solo cello & piano. With French lyrics. Performance Time: 2’15.

Listen to the demo here with English subtitles: https://youtu.be/Q1US7WPK1Iw.

Digital sheet music available on the website ASTURIA MUSIC : Amour Où Es-Tu ? – sheet music.

French Pronunciation guide video: https://youtu.be/_0Qz8zxAR6g

The lyrics tell a story about someone who hopes to meet the love of their life in the near future.

‘Amour, Où Es-Tu ?’is actually looking for its premiere.

Composer & lyricist: Anthony Sylvestre.

Here is the French text, followed by the English literal translation:

English literal translation :

‘1. One day, he will appear at my window,
And thus, he will bring back hope and joy.
Weary, I long to hear the sound of his voice,
The sweet words and tender gestures he will offer me.

Love, where are you?
Love, what are you doing?
Don’t let my heart worn out be in despair.

2. One day, all my sadness will disappear,
To finally know the exhilaration, the warmth of your arms.
For now, you are very mischievous, hidden far away from me.
Perhaps it is not yet time for you to come under my roof.

Love, where are you?
Love, what are you doing?
I would love to feel the caresses, the light touch of your fingers.

3. I sing this refrain to whoever will hear it,
Perhaps the swallow will carry it far away.
My vase is gradually chipping, losing its luster.
But one day, a skilled hand will restore it.

Love, where are you?
Love, what are you doing?
Surround me with your tenderness, make me live here below.

Love, where are you?
Love, what are you doing?
Before I disappear, let me savor your joys.
