ACDA Announces 2011 Wall of Honor Inductees

The American Choral Directors Association is pleased to announce the 2011 Wall of Honor inductees.  They include, Dr. Horace Boyer, Mr. David Davison, Mr. Brazeal Dennard, Mr. Walter Ehret, Dr. Lee Kjelson, and Mr. Paul Manz.  Their portraits and biographies will be added to the Wall of Honor which will be displayed at the 2011 ACDA National Conference in Chicago, March 9-12, 2011.  Attendees are invited to visit the wall during the conference.

In 2005, the American Choral Directors Association began a tradition of honoring choral directors who, during the course of their lives, left an indelible mark on the choral world.  Those chosen for this honor are remembered in tribute at the ACDA biennial conference on a wall that is erected in their honor.  Photographs and a short biography highlighting each individual’s contributions hang on this wall for the duration of the conference.  The person then becomes a permanent member of the wall.  This is a rare honor that is bestowed only upon those who are recognized on a national or international level and who have contributed immeasurably to the choral arts.
