What “State Premiere” means
It means your choir reserves the right to present Odes of Love for the first time in your U.S. state during the 26/27 season. I want the premiere to feel like an event, not like “another PDF.” A premiere like this gives you a simple, truthful line: “We brought this work to our state first.”
To keep it clear and frictionless, availability is handled through a live map. Once a state is reserved, it’s reserved.
Why this piece asks for this format
Some pieces thrive as wide-open repertoire. This one doesn’t. Odes of Love is written to create intimacy, presence, and that sense of a shared “now” in the hall. Limiting the State Premiere is my way of protecting that first public moment and giving the word “premiere” some weight again.
