A new Alleluia for SATB + piano

January 12, 2023 by Nicholas Weininger Leave a Comment

My new “Alleluia” was premiered very successfully by Coro Mundi at our festival last October. It’s available on SMP through ArrangeMe: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/alleluia-digital-sheet-music/22391961

It’s set for SATB with modest divisi and obbligato piano in a jazz style, in 7/8 time and with some harmonic adventurousness, yet the voice leading is simple and accessible throughout and the piece is suitable for high school choirs and above. Recommended for ensembles looking to put a fresh spin on a traditional text with an unusual meter and an exciting forward drive!
