The San Gabriel Valley Choral Company, in Monrovia, California, is excited to announce their Conducting Fellowship!
SGVCC’s Conducting Fellowship provides one-of-a-kind professional mentorship opportunities for the next generation of choral conductors. The one-year Fellowship provides an opportunity to strengthen conducting technique, score preparation skills, and rehearsal methods through applied experience and coachings with Artistic Director, Drew Corey.
Program Highlights:
– Conducting fellows are mentored by the Artistic Director and receive individual coaching throughout their season-long term.– Conducting fellows receive hands-on, practical experience conducting an established community chorus.– Fellows conduct one piece in each of SGVCC’s concerts (three per season).– In addition, SGVCC covers the cost of choir membership dues and private instruction with the Artistic Director.
