2023-2024 Season: Sing with Essential Voices USA at Carnegie Hall
& in other concerts in Manhattan & Brooklyn

Essential Voices USA, under the direction of Judith Clurman, is looking for experienced volunteer singers for their holiday programs at Carnegie Hall (with the NY Pops) and at St. Malachy’s Church (The Actor’s Chapel) in Manhattan; their spring program at Grace Church, Brooklyn Heights and in a special program at the New York Public Library in Manhattan. Repertoire for the December programs include premiere works by Joshua Clayton, Judith Clurman, Bill Cutter, Pierre Jalbert, and William Schermerhorn; repertoire for the spring includes a Sing Along Concert of Handel’s Messiah and theater and concert music.

The requirements for participation in the EVUSA Carnegie Hall concerts: you need to be 18 years old; you want to be part of a “community;” you love to sing; you agree to commit to attending all rehearsals; you agree to study your music; you agree to memorize your music when appropriate; and you pay dues to cover rehearsal space/accompanist costs.

Auditions are easy! Here is what you need to do:

RECORD a video and send it to essential
SING a song that you love to sing
SING a major scale (ascending and descending)
SPEAK (tell us why you want to join this chorus)

EVUSA will contact you after they listen to your recordings.

Rehearsals begin in September. For further information, email .
