Picture 1.pngCincinnati, OH – Stanard Design Partners has developed and launched the online home – http://2012worldchoirgames.com/ – for the 2012 World Choir Games. The games will be hosted in Cincinnati USA, spanning eleven days in July 2012. Referred to as the “Olympics” of choir competitions, the event draws more than 20,000 participants and hundreds of thousands of visitors from over 90 countries, making the games a major international event and the largest event ever hosted in Cincinnati USA.
“It’s an exciting event, and we wanted to make sure we developed a website that captured that” said Davis Stanard, design partner at Stanard Design Partners. “When the games come to town, this city is really going to rock!” The website incorporates a slide show of dynamic venue and performance photos, a series of playful animated buttons, and event videos, amongst other features. In addition to providing details about the World Choir Games, the site features visitor information about Cincinnati USA, volunteer and sponsorship opportunities, a media center, and Cincinnati USA’s unique musical heritage – a key factor in the city’s selection as host city. The site is designed to accommodate growth, with plans to build out the site as the games approach. Plans are in place to incorporate an online shop for 2012 World Choir Games merchandise, a portal for purchasing tickets to 2012 World Choir Games events, and translations of the site into multiple languages.
“We’re proud to have had the opportunity to develop the World Choir Games website” said Cynthia Stanard, design partner at Stanard Design Partners. “The games are a highly visible event, and their site will be an important portal for visitors. And given the international nature of the event, use of the website as a communication forum is only that more important. We’re pleased to be involved with such a large, high profile event as the 2012 World Choir Games.”
