2027 ACDA National Honor Choir Audition Application Opens September 1

Are you planning to have students audition for any of the 2027 ACDA National Honor Choirs? If so, there are some critical updates to the application process that warrant your immediate attention.

We’ve gone through another update since the 2026 Region Conferences. We want to ensure you can navigate the system without any hiccups. To have a successful application process, you need to start planning TODAY for your submissions.

All Honor Choir Applications now require that you log-in through your ACDA member portal account. There are two ways to access the application:

• Go to www.acda.org; Click Sign In in the upper right. Sign in. Click “My Profile” in the upper right. Click “Calls” on the left navigation.
• Go to https://my.acda.org/s/calls. Follow the same sign in process.

You will only be able to see the applications that are open and available to you based on your membership type and membership status. You will not see any applications if your ACDA membership has lapsed. You’ll know you are logged in correctly when you either see an open application OR you see a message that says “No calls are currently open. Please check back later.” All Honor Choir applications open on September 1, 2026.

You should check to see that you can log-in to your ACDA member portal starting September 1 and that your ACDA membership is current. Only Active, Life, Paying Life, and Retired members may submit students for Honor Choir Auditions.

You are welcome to create test applications to test drive the system and to become familiar before you reach the critical deadline. Please DO NOT process credit card transactions on test applications. The system WILL charge you!

Updates and Notes:

• Updating files: You are able to update audition files uploaded to the applications all the way until the submission deadline. Realize you attached the wrong file after submitting and paying? No problem. Simply log-in to your ACDA account, click on My Applications, and choose the application you wish to modify. You can only modify files. If you signed a student up for the wrong choir, you will need to contact us at .
• Payments:
  • Payment may be made for single applications via credit or debit card on the application.
  • Need to pay for multiple applications at the same time? To combine multiple applications into a single payment, choose the bulk payment option.
  • Need to send a payment link to a parent/guardian for payment? You will need a working email address for the parent/guardian at the time of application. Choose the Parent Pay option for the application and the system will send a payment link to the parent/guardian.
  • POs are NOT accepted for Honor Choir applications. We will accept POs for the registration fees for students who are selected.
• Financial Aid: Once an application is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. On the confirmation email is information regarding applying for financial aid. Only sponsors may submit the application (NOT parents). You must submit the application by October 1, 2026 at 11:59pm central time. The need for financial aid is not considered in the adjudication process. We are asking for this information early so that we can send registration and financial aid award notices to those selected earlier in the process. You should apply for financial aid for any student you believe would need it if they were to be selected for the honor choir. There will not be another opportunity to apply after October 1.

THE DEADLINE–September 24, 2026 at 11:59pm central time

The deadline for submissions for all 2027 Honor Choirs is Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 11:59pm central time. Please ensure you reference the timezone and compare it to your location. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY REASON, INCLUDING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES. You are encouraged to test the system and to prepare your applications early so that you do not run into any unexpected issues.

The ACDA Help Desk will be open until 5pm central time the day of the deadline. Email your question/need along with any pertinent application numbers/names of students to for help. Any support tickets received by 5pm central time will be supported through the process. After 5pm, no help will be available for any reason.

We know life happens. We know power outages happen. We know unexpected illness happens. In order to keep the process fair to everyone, the deadline is absolutely firm. We have had instances where large portions of the country have been impacted by major events that close schools (think hurricanes & wildfires, not a one night event). In those instances, we have worked with those impacted states to provide alternative application processes.
