Thank You for Your Mistake!

August 26, 2022 by Chris Munce Leave a Comment

In this episode, I reflect on the psychology of gratitude, and on the importance of helping our students develop a healthy relationship with their own mistakes, and even flaws and weaknesses. Not because we don’t care about high achieving ensembles, but precisely for this reason. There is power in psychology, both from our perspective as educators and from the standpoint of our students. If we can create a reason for both success and failure to be valuable, then we eliminate failure. Tune in for ideas about building a “TRY IT!” culture.

You can listen from the widgets below which will take you to Apple or Castbox to finish listening, or you can find the show on Google Play, Spotify, Youtube or Stitcher!
