Life Balance and Advocacy
This week, to celebrate 3 years of great conversations with and amplifications of colleagues, their ideas, and their achievements, I a have created a collection of the ORIGINAL episodes! Chances are, you were introduced to show much later than February of 2019. I was very fortunate to have several guests of high quality and caliber who were willing to record with me BEFORE there was even a show. The episodes aired as part of the first “content dump.” This post features the women that helped me start this thing! Dr. Elise Hepworth, Dale Trumbore and my wife, Beth Munce
I was a novice for sure in the audio engineering sense, but I am still very happy with the depth of these conversations. They are all worth going back to check out.
You can listen from the widgets below which will take you to Apple or Castbox to finish listening, or you can find the show on Google Play, Spotify, Youtube or Stitcher!
Health And Happiness for the Choral Director
At times, we, as working professionals, struggle to maintain our health and balance. As a result, our happiness suffers. In this episode, I will share my thoughts on this as well as get a reality check from my wife, Beth, on whether or not I am “balanced.”
Advocating for Our Art
How do we “sell” our profession? How do we tell the story of what we do so that non-musicians can understand? We all know our “why,” now let’s learn how to share that with the world! In this episode I will discuss Music Education Advocacy with Dr. Elise Hepworth.
In the second part of this episode, I chat with composer Dale Trumbore about how we, as performers and composers, can tell our story in an authentic and vulnerable way.
