Great choices. Two other honorable mentions: Luigi Cherubini’s 3-part “Laughing Canon” (printed in Wilhelm Ehmann’s choral conducting book), and from The Sacred Harp, “Welcome, welcome, ev’ry guest,” a great introduction to something other than major sounds, and a good concert processional.—Mark Mecham
