This week on Going Beyond Words, Host Stan Schmidt brings to ACDA Radio and ChoralNet, an exciting hour of choral greatness from Austria, England and South America featuring a very special Misa a Buenos Aires.   Performing groups are the Rias Kammerchor and Akademie Für Alte Musik Berlin;   Then The Gesualdo Six directed by Owain Park, concluding with n the Bach-Chor Siegen with the Tango-Orchestra “El Arroyo” with conductor Ulrich Stötzel.  All are new CD’s are new for GBW.  First, Magna et Mirabiliia, an Offertortium in B Flat Major by Austrian composer Joseph Eybler.  Part of a new recording of Anton Bruckner’s Missa Solemnis…with Łukasz Borowics on the Podium.  Then from England a new ensemble called the Gesualdo Six, comprised of talented gentlemen in their début recording of English Motets.  They were formed in 2014 and do a superb job on all 17 Tracks.   The feature of this broadcast is music by Argentine Composer and Conductor Martin Palmeri (b. 1965.) We will investigate his Misa a Beunos Aires composed in 1996 that incorporates the harmony of Tango Nuevo for a very exciting Misatango.   The composer has led performances in seventeen different countries including a special presentation for Pope Francis in 2013 in the Baslica…This is a piece from outside the box that will excite your singers and audiences.
