Leaning Into the Wind – Reformation 1

You will hear several important melodies created by Martin Luther and how during subsequent centuries, composers such at J.S.Bach, Johann Fischer, Heinrich Schütz, Gunnar Eriksson of Sweden and Volker Jaekel (b.1965) plus Michael Praetorius, just to name a few, created new harmonious sounds for Maestro Luther’s hymns.There is also a brief comparison of the connection between two works by J.S. Bach,  Reformation Cantata BWV 79 and one of the Lutheran Masses, Missa Brevis in G BWV 236.
