Give Us Peace in Our Time

This week on Going Beyond Words and ACDA Radio, Host Stan Schmidt continues the serious listening for the Lenten Season and takes you on a soul searching journey through choral music.   Using Da Pacem Domine by Gesualdo and Pärt to surround the hour of music, you will hear The beatitudes by Bastiks, Motherless Child and Oh Graveyard with the voices of Conspirare; Orlando Gibbons I am the Resurrection and the Life and The 23 Psalm by David Ashley White.  From the Grammy nominated “Passion Week” by Maximillian Steinberg a musical setting of the Last Supper followed by Faithful Cross by Healey Willan, O Vos Omnes by Gesualdo and the Litany of the Divine Providence by Polish Baroque composer Grzegorz Gorczycki.    Some stunning choral works you will want to investigate.

For a look at the CD’s used and a complete list of the music heard go to the blog of WWW.GOINGBEYONDWORDS.COM website and click on show 2324
